Uncovering history is dirty work! Dirty Blue Shirts is a collective of museum professionals and historians based out of Eastern Connecticut. From Revolution to Prohibition: their passion is bringing American history to life with museum-quality programming. Whether in plain clothes or period attire, research is at the heart of everything the Shirts do. Maritime history, including the music of the sea, is what first brought them together, and the Shirts are honored to make the 2023 Old Songs their first-ever event in New York State. Representing Dirty Blue Shirts are Rebecca Bayreuther Donohue, Johann Heupel, Katy Roberts, and Nathan Rumney.
